Wow I’ve been slacking on blogging this past week, it’s been a busy one! But Wedding Wednesday is here and I have photos to share! Continuing on from getting ready from last week, we have some important parts of the day: seeing each other for the first time and taking lots of photos.
James and I really debated doing the first look. He wanted to go the more traditional route and wait until the ceremony but since our whole wedding was happening in the same place, I was worried about logistically getting all of our pictures taken and enjoying the reception. So, we did the first look! I’m so glad we did because I got to spend some quality time with him before the craziness and whirlwind post-ceremony. We met in our ceremony location, best spot for me to really walk up to him since there are doors to separate, etc.

Following our first look we took photos with our bridal party and some with our families. The bridesmaids and our flower girl wore dresses by Bill Levkoff. The groomsmen and ring bearers either wore suits of their own or rented ones from Men’s Wearhouse, not sure where James bought the ties to be honest.
After we took many variations of the above photo and others, James and I went off with Casey and Angel to take photos of just us near Hessian Lake. It is just below the venue basically. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the day because it was quiet, relaxing and allowed me to spend time with James. Here are some of my favorites:
After taking these photos we went back to the hotel to relax before the ceremony. I sat in my room and wrote some more notes to people and kicked off my heels for a bit. I’m really glad we took all of our photos when we did during the day because it really allowed time to get them done well and I wasn’t worried about time at all. Well, maybe a little, but I didn’t feel like I was missing our party. Next week I’ll share photos from our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Hope you enjoyed this week’s sampling of photos!
