Even though James and I have been engaged since October, and already sent out Save the Dates (sans photo of us), we had yet to get engagement photos taken. It was partly because by the time we had hired our awesome photographer, Casey Fatchett, it was winter and I really didn’t want to take photos with our coats on, since I wanted some photos outside.

So we waited until March. Fortunately the weather cooperated and it was sunny with a crisp wind, which meant I wore my sweater when we were outside. But we had a blast! Casey is so great to work with, once we were standing in a spot, I didn’t even notice him. This is partly thanks to James who told me cute things or reminded me of some of our best dates over the last 3 years. It was a blast! Here are a few of my favorites:

When James and I were talking to Casey about where to take photos, James suggested that Casey would be in a helicopter while James climbed the Empire State Building carrying me like King Kong. While that wasn’t feasible, Casey said that he could make it work. And he did with the magic of Photoshop. We took some photos in Central Park, Casey composited them together and voila! King Kong!

I hope you enjoyed our photos. I can’t wait to see your wedding pictures because I know that they will be beautiful.

Last minute update post-original publication: Casey just sent me this beautiful video of our photos-enjoy! (If I can figure out how to embed it later I will.)
