I’m trying to stay calm, cool and collected as my undergraduate career comes to an end, but it’s tough with 3 papers due in the next month. I’m trying not to stress too much, but let’s take a quick look at what my calendar looked like this week…

Minus the doodle, it’s mainly things to do on each day, with check marks when completed. There are also books to read at libraries, plans and notes to myself. I’m finding that balancing everything is going much better than I thought, but I do need to relax more and not worry about it as much as I am, or not let it all consume me.

I’ve decided to do a few things this month and hope that it helps manage it all. Here’s the plan:

  • Make and follow my to-do lists. Check off things I do-it helps me feel better.
  • Try not to procrastinate.
  • Staying positive.
  • Take breaks for sanity. This includes lunch/dinner/coffee with friends or listening to Mary Poppins in the background. Also, get enough sleep-coffee as needed.
  • Focus on the goal. I organized the books for my history papers and posted graduation invitations behind them to remind me that I’m almost there-gold tassel (I’m a University Honors Scholar!) and all.
This is my desk. There is another stack of books right behind my computer, and it’s a bit less cluttered then this picture, but you get the idea of my workspace.
So I apologize in advance for the lack of posts that may result as me finishing senior year. There’s just over a month left and then, NYU is just a chapter in my life, a really wonderful chapter. Okay, thing to add to the list: not getting sentimental, it’ll just make me sad.
Back to the workload (and wishing that I hadn’t eaten all of those whoopie pies or that I had some Easter candy, oh well, better for my health that I don’t).
