I’ve really gotten into looking at the architecture around me in the city these last few weeks, probably because I have time to look up and around and the streets aren’t teeny-tiny like they are downtown. Anyway, while walking home the other day I noticed details in the Empire State Building that I had never seen before.

There are blue and red plates of something-metal? glass? on certain windows near the top. I just really thought it was a great detail that added something more to the iconic building. Also, it stays within Art Deco style which added such details into every building, be it colors or decorations. This subtle detail is totally hidden within the building as far as I’m concerned because it took me years to even notice it! But now that I have, I love it!
